Testing of GR 3
Sun, 01/07/2007 - 19:29Well done Jon! I think it looks very professional, I particularly like the new background on the header! 8)
But I guess you're probably wanting more in depth feedback than that! I will have a look around tomorrow, my other half is going to wring my neck if I stay on the internet any longer.
Good job!
Testing of GR 3
Sun, 01/07/2007 - 21:14I found that i was able to log in with both upper and lower case letters at the start of my name? Also i've spotted a typo on the Create Content page, under the News heading it says "A geologically news story".
As I said above, I'll look around a bit more tomorrow.
P.S. I had a reprieve [sp?]. Nothing on Earth is going to make me watch Waking the Dead!

Testing of GR 3
Submitted by Jon on Sun, 01/07/2007 - 16:19.Hi all,
GeologyRocks 3 is open for beta-testing. There are still a lot of missing pages and 99% of the content has not been transferred as yet, but if you want to have a look:
http://drupal.geologyrocks.co.uk
Feel free to add any content (tutorials, photos, etc); they will not get deleted and the database is properly backed-up. I'll also make a note of any points gained to make sure that the points transfer goes ok
My plan is to delete everything people put in the forum before I transfer the contents of this forum over, so feel free to post rubbish I won't delete any other legitimate content though (unless, of course, it's a test tutorial entry or something you try).
When you add content, it goes into a "moderation queue"; i.e. it won't be visible on the site (to other people) until I let it The only exceptions to this are blog entries and forum posts.
You should be able to log in with your current username and password, but please be aware that your username is now case-sensitive. On the current site I can log in as "jon" or "Jon". GR3 require me to log in as "Jon".
Have a play around and see what happens if you click x, y or z. If you find something overly complicated, let me know and I can try and simplify it or write some documentation (like: http://drupal.geologyrocks.co.uk/help)
Let me know if people have any difficulties and thanks in advance for anyone who tests the site out
Geologists are gneiss!!
